OBITUARY FROM LEGACY CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MADISON, AL) WEBSITE:

Karen Lee Love, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 18, 2019, after a 3 plus -year battle with cancer.  She was born to Max and Marilyn Stephens on September 14, 1951.  She is preceded in death by her Father, Max Stephens and Brother-in-law, Ron Lindner.  Karen is survived by her beloved Husband of 42 years, Dan.  She is also survived by her Mother, Marilyn Stephens, her Sons, David Love (Adrienne) and Eric Love, as well as Step-Daughter, Dana Cox (Chad), and five beautiful Grandchildren; Ella, Harris, & Julianne Peek, and Adam & Caitlin Love, who will cherish the memory of “Grandma Karen”.  She also leaves behind her Sisters Janet Lindner, Susan Chicka (Ron), and JoAnn Hall (Jack) and several nieces and nephews.  Karen was the anchor for her family as they made 8 household moves during the 42 years of marriage. She was a wonderful, creative host and friend to the many she met along the way.  Her selflessness, boundless energy, and love of life & family shone through even the darkest of days.  She fought her cancer with strength, courage and amazing fortitude, forever optimistic and an encourager to many. She held deeply to her Christian faith, and was always active in her church and community groups.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to Mount Zion Baptist Church (Huntsville, AL) , or  the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation, or Hospice Family Care (Huntsville, AL).

The family would like to thank the staff at CCI and Hospice Family Care for their support and treatment of Karen during this battle, as well as the many prayer warriors across the country who held her up steadfastly in prayer.
