OBITUARY FROM CHICAGO TRIBUNE, APRIL 8, 2015:

Sandra L. Daniels (nee Simmons), age 65, passed away on April 6, 2015. Sandi was born on October 14, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to Helen and Frank Simmons. She was a 1968 graduate of Hobart High School. Sandi loved animals and was a veterinary tech at Southlane Veterinary in Valparaiso. Her car always stopped for garage sales and Saturday night ice cream.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Don and her loving son, Michael (Andrea) Daniels; one brother-Phil (Carrell) Simmons of Tenino, WA; two step-daughters-Melany McGrath and Mary Giroud; two loving nieces-Marie and Sarah of Tenino, WA; one sister- in- law, Sue Bergmann of Michigan City, IN.

Funeral service for Sandi will be Monday, April 13, 2015 at 11:00 at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Friends may visit with Sandi's family on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Burns.
