OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, DECEMBER 24, 2017:
Gary D. Banks, age 72, of Lake Station, formerly of Hobart, passed away December 22, 2017. He was a graduate of Hobart High School, an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family. Gary was preceded in death by his parents-Thomas and Audrey Banks; brother-Larry Banks.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years-Frances; children-Lisa (Craig) Keilman, Tina (Brian) Barthel, Gina (Mark) Perry; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother-Ricky (Vicki) Banks; sister-in-law-Patricia Banks.
Funeral service for Gary will be Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Friends may visit with his family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. www.burnsfuneral.com.
