OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES WEBSITE, MAY 4, 2016:

James C. Fahey, "Pappy", age 78, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016. Jim is survived by his wife, Karen Fahey of 19 years; son, Ron (Chrissy) Fahey; step- children: children: Jeff (Neda) Wright, Mark Wright, Timothy (Judy) Wright and and Matt (Diana) Wright; grandchildren: Brandon (Tracy) Fahey, Felicia Fahey and Katie Fahey; great grandson, Luke Fahey; many step-grandchildren and great- grandchildren; brother, Rick (Pat) Fahey; sister, Dolores (Jim) Tressmer; many nieces and nephews.
 
He was a friend of Bill W. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janith Fahey. Jim was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Hebron. He retired from U.S. Steel and Porter Memorial Hospital. Jim was a Navy veteran, proudly serving on the Destroyer USS Compton DD-705. He was also a member of the Freebirds Motorcycle Club and a member of AA, assisting many people through their journey of sobriety.
 
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Geisen Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 624 N. Main St., Hebron, IN from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 6, 2016 directly at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 302 N. Madison St., Hebron, IN at 10:00 AM with Fr. Thomas Mischler officiating.
