OBITUARY FROM THE NW INDIANA TIMES, AUGUST 16, 2017:

Marguerite "Jeannine" Kupec, 84 of Valparaiso passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017. She was born May 15, 1933 in Terre Haute to the late James Boling and Anne (Postma) Sawyer. Jeannine graduated from Hobart High School in 1951 and made her career as a medical records secretary for Canterbury Nursing Home in Valparaiso and later at Fountainview Nursing Home in Portage. She enjoyed adding to her decorative ladybug collection, entertaining family and friends with dinner parties, and traveling - especially to Las Vegas and Hawaii. Jeannine will be remembered by those who knew her as the life of the party. On November 28, 1953 Jeannine married Louis Kupec Sr., who preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by her children: Vanessa (Greg) Lippelt of Kouts, Louis (Janet) Kupec, Jr. of FL; grandchildren: Jeremy, Jacob, Kyle, Christopher; five great grandchildren; siblings: Michael (Suzanne) Sawyer, John (Thelma) Sawyer, Cheryll (Don) McKay. She is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Kupec, and sister, Mary Hamilton.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at MOELLER FUNERAL HOME, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial to follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
