Richard C. “Dick” Zickuhr, age 75, of Hobart, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2020. He was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1963. Dick served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a retired employee of US Steel-Gary Works. Dick was a member of the American Legion Valparaiso Post No. 94. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and bowler and loved to travel.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents-Carl and Genevieve Zickuhr. He is survived by his wife-Joanne (nee Davis); children-Michelle Gentry of Hobart, Scott (Leslie) Zickuhr of Crown Point, Mike (Patricia) Geary of Schaumburg, IL., Erin (Dr. Joe) Hurst of Kingsport, TN., Joey Geary of Henderson, NV.; six grandchildren, Cross Gentry, Jackson and Emme Hurst, Chloe and Lola Geary, Hanna Zickuhr; sisters-Patricia O’Brien of Hebron, Sue (Jim) Fowble of Hobart; nephews- Jerome and David; many other loving relatives and friends.
