Dennis A. Cantrell age 59 of Crown Point passed away Monday, December 1, 2014. He was a former longtime Hobart resident. Dennis was a very well-known musician and entertainer, playing in numerous local bands and as a professional musician on the road.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Cantrell (nee Sansone) of Crown Point, IN; one son, Daniel Joseph Field of Valparaiso, IN; his mother, Elizabeth Cantrell of Hobart, IN; 3 brothers, James B. Riggsby of Mesa, AZ; Danny Cantrell of Nashville, TN; Ray Cantrell of Ogden Dunes, IN; 2 step-children, Erika (Michael) Toth of Kapolei, HI; Matthew Wesby of Crown Point, IN; 2 grandchildren, Gavin and Natalie Toth, honorary sister, Candee (Ron) Sweet Warren of Hobart, IN; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family. He was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Cantrell.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations for funeral expenses are appreciated. Visitation is Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
