Jerry Rebeck - Class Of 1973

Gerald “Jerry” Alan Rebeck, 61, of Naperville, Illinois, passed away on November 19, 2016 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville from CJD, Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. Jerry was much loved by many family members, friends, and clients. He was a patient, generous man, as many can attest. He was a wonderful husband and friend for the last 44 years to Donna (nee Rogula) Rebeck; father to Brian (Alexa Workman) Rebeck (Chicago, IL) and Mark Rebeck (Naperville, IL); brother to Alice (John) O’Connor (Grand Junction, CO), Carol David (Tampa, FL), Charles (Chuck) Rebeck (Winamac, IN) and Martin “Marty” (Sonja) Rebeck (Terre Haute, IN) and brother-in-law to Doranne (Kerry) Jones (Chesterton, IN); uncle to Christopher “Chris” (Jona) O’Connor (Centennial, CO), Dennis (Heather) O’Connor (Parker, CO), Cheri (Tommie) Stroup (Wesley Chapel, FL), Ryan (Tiffany) David (Loveland, CO), Matthew (Terri) Rebeck (New Harmony, IN), Anne (Nick Ardizzone) Rebeck (Seattle WA), Karl Rebeck (Winamac IN), Morgan (Zack Hessig) Rebeck (Memphis, TN), Blake Rebeck (Terre Haute, IN), Paul (Ashley) Jones (Rolling Prairie, IN); great-uncle to eight nephews and nieces and had many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 
He was a great friend to Diana and James “Jim” Stump (Wabash, IN) and Martha “Beth” and Jeffrey “Jeff” Hamilton (Aurora, IL) amongst many others. He coached, as well as served on the boards, of many youth and college-level teams for his sons’ soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams. Jerry was an attorney with a law practice in Naperville IL from which he served and cared deeply about the welfare of his clients and worked with many other attorneys, both locally as well as his old John Marshall Law School “buddies”. He loved his puppy, Rooney, and our previous pups: Senna, Cassie, Katie, and Rottie. Jerry has been preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Elizabeth “Liz” (Sharko) Rebeck.
 
A memorial visitation will be held at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory at 516 S. Washington Street in Naperville, IL on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a prayer at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the CJD Foundation at https://www.cjdfoundation.org/donate or The CJD Foundation, P.O.
