Virginia "Ginni" Winston - Class Of 1973

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES WEBSITE, SEPTEMBER 18, 2016:

Virginia (Ginni) Sue Winston, 61, formerly of Hobart, IN, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 30, 2016.
 
Ginni is survived by her sister, Cheryl (Bill) Bedwellof Spring, TX and brother, Ken (Tana) Winston of Fennville, MI; three nephews: Brandon Bedwell, Jeffrey (Dana) Winstonand Matthew Winston; great- nephew and niece, Benjamin and Dagny RoseBedwell; Gene Brandt, uncle; and cousins: Linda Carrol and Beverly Phillips,and special friends Dawn Kalin, Jackie Flores, Esther Peneff, and Renee Neveu. Ginni was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Virginia Winston, and brother, Scott.
 
Ginni was a 1973 graduate of Hobart High School and attended IUN. She had a special place in her heart for her dog Snooty, and cats Lucky, Sweetcheeks, and Kalin. Ginni will be remembered as a wonderful sister, aunt, friend, and a die-hard Bears and Cubs fan.
 
A private burial service will be held at a later date. Dawn Safford (Kalin) (1973)

Ginni was my dearest friend for 54 years. I think about her often, especially on her birthdate every year.  I still have her silly ornery cat that now lives with us here in Arizona. Rest in peace Gin.
