OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, JANUARY 20, 2015:

Bauswell, John 53, of St. Joseph died suddenly on Sunday, January 18 in Fairfield, OH. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at Dey-Florin Funeral Home, 2506 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. The visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday immediately preceding the memorial at the funeral home. John was born September 2, 1961 in Gary, IN. He was the loving husband of Terri Demis Bauswell. John and Terri were married in February, 2009. He leaves behind a daughter, Kourtney Bauswell of Milwaukee, WI; a son, Connor Bauswell of Osceola, IN; and a stepson, Brandon Demis of St. Joseph; his sister, Lorri "Tim" Phillippe of Lake Station, IN; and a brother, Kenneth "Karla" Bauswell of Hudsonville, MI.

John previously lived in Hobart, IN but has lived in the community for the past 20 years. He was the Plant Manager for Mulhern Belting, Inc of Oakland, New Jersey and was recently transferred to Fairfield. He was full of life with a huge sense of humor. He was hard working, selfless and an avid outdoorsman. John was a dedicated Dad, loyal husband and considered the leader and protector of his family.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Trojan; and his parents, Robert and Virginia Bauswell.
