Brian Knickerbocker - Class Of 1962

OBITUARY FROM ANGEL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME (TUCSON, AZ) WEBSITE:

Brian Michael Knickerbocker born October 18,1943 and passed away on April 29, 2018 very peacefully surrounded by his family. Brian was born in Gary Indiana with his twin brother George and also had an older brother Ralph. Child of Ralph C Knickerbocker and Katherine Kochan Knickerbocker.

Brian received his high school diploma from Hobart High in 1962 and also played Senior High School football. Brian enter the United States Marine Corps from 1962 - 66 he is a Vietnam veteran he received three purple hearts received the National Defense service medal an rifle expert & pistol sharpshooter.

He worked at Bethlehem Steel from 1969 to 1986. Brian served in the Army National Guard from 1986 - 1988. He moved with his family to Arizona and was a resident for 30 years. For 24 years Brian worked for the Pima County Sheriff Department as a correctional officer and retired in 2010.

Brian is survived by his wife Katy Knickerbocker was married to her 49 years he had three sons Steve, 52 Scott, 50 and Spencer, 45. Grandchildren Elizabeth, Katie, Olivia, Andrew, Angel and his namesake Brian David. Brian was a Orthodox Christian Godfather to Bill and Donna Stephens.

In lieu of flowers donation in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation. There will be a visitation and Trisagion service on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a Trisagion at 7:00 pm. at Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N Tucson Blvd. Tucson, Arizona 85716. The funeral service will be on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 9:00 am at Holy Resurrection Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5910 E 5th street, Tucson, Arizona 85711. Burial will follow with a procession and burial in East Lawn Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona.
