OBITUARY FROM EDMOND & EVANS (CHESTERTON, IN) WEBSITE:

Carol Sue (Sherrard) Bushore, age 74 of Chesterton, IN passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 24, 1944 in Gary, IN to Clifford and Helen (Rosebery) Sherrard.

Carol is survived by her husband of over 35 years, Stephen; two Sons, Stephen W (Julie) Bushore, Richard (Kathy) Teffertiller; Daughter, Michelle Bement; grandchildren, Samantha, Mariah, Faith, Michael, Madison; and great grandchildren, Paxton, Roman and Porter; one brother, Clifford (Kathy) Sherrard. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ronald Sherrard. 

As a child, Carol grew up in Hobart with two older fun-seeking brothers, while she would be found experiencing her own world by sitting under that large oak tree reading her many novels. She retired from Ticor Title Insurance Company as a Title Officer where she enjoyed the many get togethers and camaraderie of her many fellow employees. Carol and her husband spent many years wintering in Pawleys Island, SC. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, playing cards, baking, crocheting and sitting on the back peaceful porch enjoying her morning coffee while reading those many novels. She had a terrific sense of humor and loved a good laugh. She was a kind hearted, caring, level headed, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who held the respect of everyone that she came in contact with, but none more than her family.

Carol's wishes were that her cremains be contained with those of her "Buddy" Riley and Mandy so that she could forever enjoy their companionship. 

The family wishes to thank the many friends that have had her in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult period, the many caregivers, and especially Daana and Juanita, of whose personal care Carol valued most.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that those who wish may make donations in her honor to The Porter County Animal Shelter, Attn: Toni Bianchi, 3355 Berthelot Blvd., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
