Reginald "Reg" Fowler - Class Of 1960

OBITUARY FROM THE SPARTANBURG (SC) HERALD-JOURNAL, JUNE 21, 2015:

Reginald 'Reg' Jaye Fowler, Sr., 73, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 15, 2015. Born February 11, 1942, in Hobart, IN, he was the son of the late J. C. and Margaret Leigh Braswell Fowler. A graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Fowler was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg and retired as a civil structural engineer with Cryovac but began his career at Lockwood Greene.

Surviving are his children, Reg Fowler, Jr., M.D. (Ronda) of Winston-Salem, NC, Andrea Leigh Carper, and Jon Christopher Fowler (Niki), all of Moore, SC; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his former wife, Mary Lou Chanler Fowler. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Spartanburg County Sheriff Deputy Kevin Carper.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Monday, June 22, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 393 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29302, by the Rev. Dr. Tom Evans.
