Wayne G. Miller, age 83, of Portage, IN, passed away on October 16, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1934 in Gary, IN to Marian & Kathryn (Yeager) Miller.
Wayne is survived by his son, Mark (Catherine) Miller of Portage; daughters, Cyndie (William) Haber & Debbie (Daniel) Schwaberow all of Churubusco, IN; sister, Sue (Howard) Black of CA; grandchildren, Adam, Mathew, Kyle, Sarah, Ethan, Danny, Olivia, Levi and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Bonnie Miller.
Wayne was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Portage Lions Club & JC. His career as a State Farm Agent began in 1962 and spanned five decades. Above all, Wayne loved his family.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368, with Pastor Ben Ahlersmeyer officiating. Burial to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Portage, IN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6540 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368.
