Carole Downey (Powell) - Class Of 1958 VIEW PROFILE

FROM HER DAUGHTER, TAMMY POWELL, MAY 2014:

My name is Tammy Powell, I am the oldest child of Carole and Al Powell.   My mom had a stroke on May 22nd and just couldn't hang on any longer.  She passed with family around her last Sunday night.   My heart is broken, she was an amazing woman and we will miss her dearly.  She had been on Hospice for the past 10 months at home.   My dad, Al, is doing okay and I'm sure in time, will get better.  He has been her caretaker for the past 2 years and so it has taken a toll on him but he knows she is in a happier place.   My siblings and I will take good care of him (Tom, Jeff and Chris).      My mom's Memorial Mass is to be held at St. Joan of Arc catholic church in Spring Hill, Florida on June 14, 2014 at 1:00 pm with a dinner following at the church Hall.  Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill, Florida, should have her obituary posted soon at their website.
