Allan Joseph Wielogorski, age 78 of Merrillville, lost his courageous battle with cancer on October 5, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. Allan was a proud member of Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 serving 51 years. He loved camping, yard work and wood working but most importantly, his family was his number one. With his absence, there will be a large void in his family’s lives.

Allan is survived by his loving wife of 58 years- Jerryl; children-Greg (Nancy) Wielogorski of St. John, Brian (Leslie) Wielogorski of Hobart, Pamela Wielogorski of Merrillville; his pride and joy of his life were his granddaughters-Heather and Ashley Wielogorski. He is also survived by his sister-Joanne Gilmore and his special furry friend-Lily. Allan was preceded in death by his parents-Ann and Joseph Wielogorski; brothers-Edward and Joseph Wielogorski; his in laws-John and Jennie Hamady; sister and brother-in-law-Janice and Vince Vereb.

Friends are invited to meet with Allan’s family on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 2-8 p.m.at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Funeral service on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 beginning with prayers at Burns at 9:15 a.m. proceeding to the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Our Lady of Consolation, 8303 Taft St., Merrillville, IN.
