OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, SEPTEMBER 30, 2014:

Green, Albert D. "Danny" Age 73, of Merrillville, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oaklawn, IL. Danny was born March 20, 1941 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Cecil and Bertha (Merrick) Green. Danny retired from the Ford Motor Company stamping plant following 33 years of service. Danny was an avid cyclist and a member of the Calumet Crank Club. He also enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marilyn; three children, Deborah (David) Barlow of Crown Point, Christine Brown of Woodbridge, VA and Daniel (Eileen) Green of Simpsonville, SC; five grandchildren, Nicole Murphy, Kimberly Brown, Jordan Green, Courtney Green and Michael Green. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wayne Green; and a son-in-law, Christopher Brown.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342 with Deacon Joseph Codespoti officiating. Cremation will follow.
