Judy Thompson (Hall) - Class Of 1959

OBITUARY FROM THE CALUMET PARK CEMETERY WEBSITE:

Judy Hall, age 79, a lifelong resident of Hobart, passed away January 19, 2020. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, where she directed the church orchestra for over 30 years. Judy was a charter member of the Rusty Pipes (Hobart Community Band), she played an active part in the Valparaiso Community Band, she was also was an active member of the ASAAD (AHA). Judy previously worked as a substitute teacher at Meister Elementary and River Forest Jr/Sr High School. She really enjoyed watching and cheering on all of her family’s sporting events, especially baseball games. Judy touched the lives of so many and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert C. Hall; parents, Murl and Ruth Thompson; brother, Glenn Thompson; and grandson, Dillion Mavity.

She is survived by her children, Tracy Mavity, April (Jim)Busch, Danny (Jane) Hall; grand-daughter, Amanda Mavity (Jay ) grandson, Jacob Busch; siblings, Jim Thompson, Dave Thompson (Ginny), Donna (Jack) Woods, Sue (Paul) Miller, and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel (370 N County Line Rd. Hobart IN) Funeral services at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel Monday, January 27, 2020 10:00 am. Internment Graceland Cemetery. For further information please call 219-940-3791.
