OBITUARY FROM REES FUNERAL HOME, JUNE 6, 2014:

KENNETH W. STANLEY, age 64, a lifelong resident of Hobart, passed away June 4, 2014 while surrounded by his loving family. He was a graduate of Hobart High School and then served his country in the US Army. Kenneth enjoyed traveling, especially in his motorhome. He worked as a bus driver for the School City of Hobart for many years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sue Stanley; 2 daughters, Catherine Jackson of Chesterton and Karen (Roy) Williams of Wheatfield; 7 grandchildren, Matthew (Kayla), Natalie, Morgan, Jake, Amanda, Alex, and Roy III; 2 sisters, Sandy (Steve) Pierce of Valparaiso and Patty (Jerry) Hauber of CO; aunts and uncles; cousin, Roger (Debbie) Bastin of New Chicago; dogs, Chico and Sissy. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Barbara Stanley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Humane Society may be made in Kenneth’s memory. A memorial visitation for Kenneth will be Monday, June 9, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W.
