OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JANUARY 12, 2015:

Donna L. O'Melia, age 87, was reunited with our Lord January 3, 2015. Donna was born July 7, 1927, to George and Ida Kewley (nee Saunders) in Gary, IN. She graduated from Hobart High School with honors in 1945. Donna was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 9923. Donna loved crossword puzzles, her 'cowboy' western shows and loved her family above all else.

She was married to Martin B. O'Melia Sr., who preceded her in death, for 32 great years. From that union came the birth of three children, Martin B. Jr., the late, Michael D., and Mary K. (Kevin) Coppinger. Donna also had three grandchildren, Tina Carrico, Martin B. O'Melia III, and Lauren Coppinger as well as three great grand children, Joel, Alyssa and Ben.

A funeral service for Donna will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Rev. James Meade officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.
