Marilyn Jordan (Mundell) - Class Of 1950

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, MARCH 19, 2015:

Marilyn "Jean" Mundell, age 82, of Hobart passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015. She was born on July 9, 1932, in Hartford City, IN to the late Lowell and Verna Jordan. Jean retired after working for 56 years at the Lake George Medical Center. Jean was a very active member of the Hobart First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school and played piano for 20 years. She later attended Deep River Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles in her free time. She bowled on the women's league at Hobart Lanes. Jean will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her sons: Michael (Celyn) Mundell, Steven (Traci) Mundell; daughter, Kathryn (Robert) Bligh; grandchildren: Amanda Bligh, Amelia Petty, Jennifer Bligh, Amanda Mundell, Max Mundell, Rachael Mundell, Jacob Mundell, Tyler Mundell; great grandchildren: Ryne Petty and Eli Petty; brother, David (Jacquelin) Jordan; sister, Martha (James) Nichols; many loving nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Verna (nee Collins) Jordan; husband, Donald Mundell and one great grandson.

A funeral service for Jean will take place Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Ron Buche officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
