Alicia Dearing (McAllister) - Class Of 1957

Alicia M. McAllister, 75, Kokomo, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 9:36 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her residence with her husband. She was born May 14, 1939 in Galatia, Illinois, to the late George W. and Hazel L. (Fletcher) Dearing. On October 4, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, she married Doyle E. McAllister; and he survives.

Alicia graduated from Hobart High School in 1957. She managed Living Water Christian Book Store for a few years.

She is survived by her loving husband; Doyle E. McAllister, Kokomo, son and a daughter-in-law; Michael and Deborah McAllister, Greentown, daughter and a son-in-law; Susan M. and Ken Collins, Jamestown, IN. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Rachael, Joshua, Daniel, and Becky Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She loved to share Christ Jesus with the children, which she did as she worked for many years in the Awana program, and taught kindergarten Sunday school. She also shared her love for the Lord through her untiring work in several other church ministries.
 
Funeral services for Alicia will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 27, 2015 at Bible Baptist Church, 2635 South Dixon Road, with Pastor Keith Treadway, Pastor Bill Carmichael and Pastor Ken Collins officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the church, and from 9:30 AM until time of service on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to Bible Baptist Church.
