OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, FEBRUARY 21, 2017:
Gloria M. Snedden, age 88, of Hobart, passed away February 19, 2017. She was a graduate of Hobart High School and played the clarinet in the high school band; Gloria toured with an all girl orchestra after high school. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Gloria was a loving mother and grandmother who loved dogs and flowers and she will be greatly missed.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Armand and Hilda Wichman; loving husband, David G. Snedden; daughter, Sandra Snedden. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Blythe Snedden; son, Mark (Lynn) Snedden; daughter, Cindy (Glen) Mock; grandchildren: Tyler and Austin Snedden, Jon and Heather Mock; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service for Gloria will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Friends may visit with her family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Burns. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice, 2404 Valparaiso Street, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
