OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JULY 13, 2016:
Richard (Rick) S. Castellanos, age 56 of Chicago, IL, formerly of Crown Point, IN passed away Sunday, June 26,2016. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Castellanos and his infant son, Richard J. Castellanos.
Rick attended Hobart High School graduating in 1978. Upon graduation, he joined the Navy and served during the conflict in Lebanon. Rick was a natural born salesman working mostly in the sales and installation of security systems and equipment.
Rick is survived by his three children: Jon Castellanos of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Jake Castellanos presently serving in the Navy in Japan and Mallory Mellon of Mundlein, IL. Rick is also survived by his mother, Sandra J. Remillet and step father, Charles R. Remillet of Vero Beach FL; sisters: Cynthia (Robert) Lehman of Fort Wayne IN, Anita (Richard) Domonkos of Crown Point IN, Sandra (Matthew) Owen of Crown Point, IN and Tina (Seth) Little of Valparaiso, IN; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating Rick's life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until time of service. www.burnsfuneral.com.

Rick grew up across the street from my family on Crestwood Drive. He was certainly a fine and polite person, and clearly served his country with distinction. My mother liked Rick and his family very much. Still such a young person.
