Charles E. Luedtke, age 89, of Hobart, passed away January 12, 2020. He was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1948. He served in the National Guard. Chuck retired as a tool and die maker at Verson All Steel Press Co., in Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents-Paul and Anna; son-Thomas. Chuck is survived by his wife of 69 years-Joan (nee Manion); four children-Richard Luedtke, Terrence (Jean) Luedtke, James (Amy) Luedtke, Laura (Dave) Bull; daughter-in-law-Debbie Luedtke, all of Hobart; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law- David (Debbie) Richards, of Hobart; sister-in-law-Audrey Richards; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Chuck will be Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 2-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Funeral service will take place Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 10:30 a.m., at Burns (Hobart), Rev. Terry Hedderman officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville. www.burnsfuneral.com.
