Donna Harkins (Rittenour) - Class Of 1967

Donna Ruth (Harkins) Rittenour, 69 of Dawson (Lower Tyrone Township), passed away at 4:20 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by loving family and friends. Donna was born May 2, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Wesley Paul and Mabel (Davis) Harkins.

Donna was a graduate of Hobart High School, Hobart, Indiana and was retired from the former First National Bank (Fayette Bank) in Uniontown. Previously she worked at Gary Camera Company in Gary, IN and at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Hobart, IN. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, gardening, and sports. Donna was a volunteer at Brownfield Community Center, Dawson where she was in charge of preparing their monthly dinners and their catering for many years. She also worked with activities for those with special needs in the Center’s Library and numerous other activities at the Center.

Donna will be sadly missed by her loving family; her son, Mark Wesley Rittenour; her sister, Janet Marie Harkins; along with aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lewis Harrison and Martha (Bowers) Harkins; and her maternal grandparents, Theodore Roosevelt and Frances (Oldland) Davis. 

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (724-529-2611 / www.fergusonfunerals. At the request of the decedent, there will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 11 AM, Saturday, December 1st in Bryan United Methodist Church with Pastor Lonnie Rittenour officiating. Graveside committal service and inurnment will follow in Cochran Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
