Probeck, Marion 85 passed away Sept. 18, 2008. Marion was born in Hobart, IN to William J. Krull and Myrtle (Wild) Krull April 4, 1923. She moved to Florida from Plymouth, MI. in 1976, with her now deceased husband, Robert V. Probeck. They were married in 1945. Her family grew to include sons Robert V. Probeck Jr. and adopted son Jon Fowler Probeck. Marion was a High School National Band Champion. She graduated Purdue University with a BS in Home Economics and a minor in Chemistry. She will be greatly missed by her Chi Omega Sorority sisters. Following graduation she resided in Detroit, MI. area and worked for Parke Davis and then with Dr. Townsend assisting in the delivery of 125 babies in the underserved areas of the city. Her Successful real estate career began in 1964 in Michigan and continued in Florida until retirement in 1995. Marion s life was filled with extensive travel and cruises to many parts of the world. Was a member of the St. Petersburg Chapter of Military Officers Association, and the St. Petersburg Power Squadron. She was the president of the Tierra Verde Civic Organization for 2 years and organized the committee forming the current governing Tierra Verde Community Association and then served as secretary for 2 years.
Marion is survived by her son Robert V. Probeck Jr. and wife Paulla; grandsons; Robert V. Probeck lll, Andrew J. Probeck and Jay J. Richie. Brother; Robert Alwin Krull, sisters; Patricia Krull Combs and Billee Krull Anderson. Marion enjoyed her family, friends, and Florida living. She will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life for Marion will be held on Tuesday Sept. 23, 2008 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Wed. Sept. 24, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
