OBITUARY FROM CHICAGO TRIBUNE, FEBRUARY 12, 2015:

Sharon E. Vukin (nee Patteson) age 63 of Hobart, passed away on February 11, 2015 at VNA Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sharon was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1970. She worked as a floral designer for Kellen's Florist in Hobart for many years. She was a member of Hobart Presbyterian Church.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Charles E Patteson and Goldie Patteson (nee Chambers); Survivors include her husband of 42 years - Mark J. Vukin; children - Natalie (Eric) Marker of Cape Coral, FL, Alexis (Rev. Jason) Kegebein of Valparaiso; granddaughter - Serenity Kegebein; two sisters - Charlene (Robert) Walker of Hobart, and Audrey Weber of Warsaw, IN; sister-in-law - Donna Sayers of Lowell; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th St., Hobart, Rev. Jason Kegebein officiating. Friends are invited to meet with Sharon's family on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. www.burnsfuneral.com.
