Todd Tarchala, 58, of Fairfield, CA passed away peacefully on 4/29/26 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Todd was born on October 10, 1967 in Hobart, Indiana to parents Sondra Norton and Dale Tarchala. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1986. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, dedicating 22 years of his life before retiring. He spent the majority of his career as a Dedicated Crew Chief for C-130 planes. He completed multiple overseas tours including Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Allied Forces, and Operation Provide Hope. He received severe commendations for his dedication and service, often referred to as the MacGyver of Crew Chiefs, always able to find a creative solution under pressure.
Todd is survived by his children Jessica Olivero (Vincent), Emily, Andrew, and Zachary; his grandchildren, Lucas, Cole, and Spenser; His parents, Sondra Norton and Dale Tarchala, and his siblings Terry (Beth), Tim, Heather (Darrell), and his loving partner Anna Mateo.
Todd was especially known for his immense pride in his children and his grandchildren, always eager to show off the latest pictures and stories. He will always be remembered for his playful, good-natured sense of humor, often teasing those he loved most. He loved riding motorcycles, something he spent a lot of time doing after his retirement. He was a member of a local motorcycle club, a community that was like family to him for the past 13 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on 6/26/26 at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield, CA at 11:00 AM. Followed by a Burial with Military Honors at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA at 1:30 PM.
