Roger Wayne Carpenter, 71, of Monterey, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Gary, Indiana on September 6, 1953 to Fred and Edith (Parrish) Carpenter.

On June 5, 2018, in Las Vegas, Roger married Judith Davis, who survives.

He enjoyed camping, reading traveling and nature. Roger worked for himself in the automotive repair and sales business. He also enjoyed car shows and auctions. Roger was greatly loved and will be truly missed.

Also surviving is his son, Roger (Stefanie) Carpenter Jr.; sister, Liz (Dave) Veit; granddaughter, Olivia Carpenter; he was beloved by all his step children and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sgt Fred Warren Carpenter.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100. Visitation and viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte.
