Linda Wells (Breitzke) - Class Of 1971

LINDA MARIE BREITZKE (nee Wells) Kouts, Indiana Linda Marie Breitzke (nee Wells) age 56 of Kouts, formerly of Hobart, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Linda was a dedicated mother, wife and friend. She described St. Mary Medical Center and her fellow employees as her second family for over 35 years. She was considered a saint by everyone who knew her. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Greg Breitzke of Kouts; her mother, Betty (Bob) Searer of North Webster, Indiana; 2 sons, Matthew (Shelly) Breitzke of Bixby, Oklahoma and Gregory (Jenene) Breitzke, Jr. of Kouts; 1 sister, Kathleen (David) Austin of Plymouth, Indiana; 3 grandchildren, Travis, Cassie and Colin. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wells; and her sister, Patty Wells. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 7:00 PM from the Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory, 370 N. County Line Road, Hobart with cremation to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday from 2 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Call (219) 942-9866.

Linda Wells Breitzke passed away due to cancer on May 20, 2009, at the age of 56. She was a member of the Hobart High School Class of 1971. Linda was a nurse and head of the ER at St. Mary's Medical Center in Hobart for many years, and there was a $1,000 donation made in her name to Certified Emergency Nurses (CEN).

Linda was married to Greg Breitzke, a policeman, and co-founder of Breitzke Ministries, which reaches out to middle and high school youth in the Racine, Wisconsin area. Greg and Linda were known to many kids as "Mom and Dad B". Linda was also known as a great cook.
