OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, MAY 19. 2015:

Peter C. Tomaga, age 47, of Hobart, IN, passed away on May 17, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Peter was born on February 4, 1968 in Gary, IN. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart. Peter worked Maintenance for Arcelor Mittal. On May 20, 1989 Peter married the love of his life Sandra Schaeffer at Emmanuel Lutheran in Merrillville. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sandra Tomaga of Hobart; two sons: Shane and Chad Tomaga of Hobart; father, Charles Tomaga of Hobart; mother, Judith Ann Palmateer of Minnesota; brother, Jeffery Tomaga of Hobart; numerous nieces and nephews; mother- in-law, Patricia Schaeffer and other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stephen Tomaga and Mary Cirbus; uncle, Frank Tomaga and father-in-law, Erwin Schaeffer.

In lieu of flowers a fund for Pete's children's education would be appreciated. A funeral service for Peter will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342, with Rev. Gary Nagy officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
