OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JUNE 18, 2004:

George McClain, age 57, of Hobart, formerly of Buffalo, New York, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2004. George was a graduate of Hobart High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion in New York. He was a member of the Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Lorraine McClain and his son Earl. He is survived by one son Eddie (Linda) McClain of New York; six sisters, Carolyn Harris of Hobart, Lu Lemon Carlson of Indianapolis, Beverly (Fred) Furns of Colorado, Barbara McClain of Hobart, Phyllis Illyes of Portage and Winnie (Harry) Norton of Hobart. Many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, June 19, 2004, 12:00 Noon at the Burns Funeral Home (Hobart), corner Rt 51 and 7th Street, with his brother-in-law, Harry Norton officiating. Interment, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family at the Burns Funeral Home (Hobart), on Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
