Wayne Richard Johnson, 79, was called home to Heaven on November 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 6, 1946, Wayne lived a life rooted in faith, love, laughter, and devotion to his family and profession.

He was joyfully reunited in Heaven with his parents, Harlan C. and Mary L. Johnson, and his brother, Ronald C. Johnson.

Wayne married the love of his life, Jane C. Johnson, on July 7, 1967. Together, they shared 58 wonderful years filled with joy, adventure, and unwavering love. Wayne was a proud and devoted father to Christina L. Gonzalez (Alejandro) and Susana J. Kuchaes (Darin), who were his greatest joy and lifelong pride.

He was also a deeply cherished grandfather to Trevor Feshanko (Scott), Mackenzie Kuchaes, Samuel Kuchaes, Alexander Gonzalez, and Benjamin Gonzalez—each of whom adored their fun-loving “Papa.” Wayne was an outdoorsman at heart who loved hiking, fishing, and sharing those passions with his grandchildren. He took great joy in teaching them how to fish, play basketball, and, most importantly, how to approach life with integrity, curiosity, and kindness. He also cherished teaching them Bible verses, including one of his favorites, 2 Timothy 1:7, encouraging them to live with power, love, and self-discipline.

A proud Butler University alumnus, Wayne dedicated 50 years to his career as a pharmacist, serving his community with compassion, integrity, and excellence. His kindness, humor, and genuine care touched countless lives, both personally and professionally.

Wayne was a faithful member of The Gideons International, where he boldly shared the message of Christ with others. His passion for spreading God’s Word was evident in every part of his life—especially in the way he shared his faith with his children and grandchildren.

Known not only for his sharp mind and strong work ethic but also for his playful spirit and quick wit, Wayne approached life with a smile, always ready to make others laugh and to find joy in simple moments. His deep Christian faith was the foundation of his life and guided him in all he did.

Wayne leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, faith, laughter, and family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence brought warmth, wisdom, and joy to everyone who knew him.
