OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, MARCH 30, 2005:

Michael Walter Krause, age 54, of Portage, passed away on March 24, 2005. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1969. Michael was previously employed as a waterblaster throughout the country. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and William Krause and nephew, Randal Moehl. Michael is survived by three sisters: Marilyn (Jack) Brennan of Merrillville, Lenore (Ernest) Moehl and Judy Jones, both of Hobart; nieces and nephews: Cynthia (Duane) Ehrhardt, Rodney (Ann) Bloom, Roger (Barbara) Moehl, Amy Gregory, Kimberly (Brian) Dequis, Sandra (Scott) Schnabel, Howard (Christina) Jones, Michele (Joseph) Araiza ; great-nephews and nieces: Brian Gregory, Nicholas Ehrhardt, Bradley Ehrhardt, Matthew Schnabel, Scott Moehl, Kourtney Bauswell, Summer Bloom, Erik Gregory, Katie Moehl, Christopher Schnabel, Connor Bauswell, Brandon Bloom, Matthew Jones and Ryan Jones.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6240 Grand Blvd., Hobart, Rev. Frederic Lams officiating. Michael will lie in state at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Hobart. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the family.
