OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, FEBRUARY 23, 2015:

Shirley L. Massey, 63 of Valparaiso passed away Friday, February 20, 2015. She was born September 3, 1951 in Gary, IN, daughter of the late Harley and LaVeda (Love) Sears. Shirley graduated from Hobart High School and worked for the Porter County Parks and Recreation Department. She was an avid painter, who also enjoyed fishing and playing video games.

Shirley is survived by her children: Larry (Angela) Massey of Valparaiso and Britt Watson of Valparaiso; four grandchildren: Jordan and Tyler Watson and Trey and Joshua Carter; sister-in-law, Beth Joy Champlain; and brother-in-law, Gerald Krajcir. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Massey in 2002; two brothers: Dale and Wayne Sears; and sister, Sherra Krajcir. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso.

Memorial Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of Service. Cremation will take place at Angelcrest Crematory, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the family. Moellerfuneralhome.com.
