OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE (December 14, 2009)

Walter J. Beauprey, Jr. age 59, of Portage passed away on Friday, December 11, 2009. Walter was a Portage resident for 11 years formerly of Hobart. He was retired from Inland Steel. Member of the Steel workers Union and the Eagles Walter was a member of St. Bridget Church.

Walter is survived by his daughter Amber (Michael) Gast of Valparaiso; mother Irene Mary Beauprey of Portage; brothers Victor Beauprey of CA., Charles (Robin) Beauprey of Rapid City, S.D.; sister Maryrita (Jose) Martinez of St. Louis, MO and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Walter J. Beauprey and daughter Crystal Beauprey.

Funeral service for Walter will be on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. to St. Bridget Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino officiating. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
