OBITUARY FROM THE CHESTERTON TRIBUNE (July 17, 2003):

Donald Alan Capps "Cappy" died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at his home in Valparaiso. He was 52. He was born April 18, 1951 in Gary, the son of the late Waymon Capps and Edna (Donelson) Capps, who survives in Benton, Ill. He is also survived by a daughter, Donna (Jimmie Jr.) Clemons of Rolling Prairie and a brother, Darryl (Pat) Capps of Portage.

He was a steel worker employed for 33 years at US Steel National/Midwest. He was a member of the ABATE of Indiana for 10 years, a lifetime member of the HOG Harley Owners Group since June of 1990 and a member of the Steel Workers Union Local #6103.

A Tribute will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, July 18 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage. Cremation will take place at Heritage Crematory, Portage.
