OBITUARY FROM THE HAMMOND TIMES (August 16, 1999)

David J. Daich, 46, of Elgin, IL, formerly of Gary, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 1999. He was born September 9, 1952, in Gary, IN to the late Mike and Dorothy (Berzish) Daich. David graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor degree in Accounting and was employed with Ameritech. He had worked at USX Gary Works as a Machine Shop Supervisor for 7 years. David is survived by two children; son, Andrew and daughter, Amy; one brother, Michael (Vonnie) Daich of Hobart; two aunts, Helen (Mickey) Wilson of Houston, TX and Eleanor (Ted) Geras of Park Ridge, IL.

Friends may visit with the family Monday, August 16, 1999 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Stilinovich & Wiatrolik Funeral Home, 7535 Taft St. (Hwy. 55) Merrillville, Indiana. A Pomen Prayer Service will be at 7 p.m. Funeral services Tuesday, August 17th at 10 a.m. directly at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church with the Very Rev. Jovan Todorovich officiating. Interment to follow in Calumet Park Cemetery.
