OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JULY 8, 2010

Mark D. Heller, age 58 of Hobart, passed away on July 4, 2010. He was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1970. Mark was a retired employee of U.S. Steel where he was an ironworker. He was a member of Local #1014 where he served on the safety committee.

Mark was preceded in death by his son, Brian Heller; mother, Betty (Ittel) Heller; and brother-in-law, Larry Grabczak. He is survived by his wife, Diane (nee Grabczak) of Hobart; daughter, Beth (Bryan) Tidwell of Delaware; grandson, Eric Heller of Hobart; father, Louis E. Heller, Jr. of Michigan City; brothers: Louis W. Heller of Valparaiso and Philip (Lana) Heller of Nineveh, IN; sisters-in-law: Gloria (Mike) Sullivan, Joanne (Dale) Knapp and Joyce Grabczak; brother-in-law, David Grabczak; nephews: Ryan and Remy Heller, Dave, Corey and Joseph Grabczak, and Steve Cinko; nieces: Erin Cinko, Amy Murphy, Angela Grabczak and Christy Brown

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Hobart, 654 E. 4th St., Hobart with Rev. Jonathan Gosser officiating. Cremation will precede the service. Burns Funeral Home, Hobart in charge of arrangements. www.burnsfuneral.com
