Chuck Sandilla - Class Of 1963

OBITUARY: CHARLES DUANE SANDILLA, Age 50, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 1996. Mr. Sandilla had been a Hobart resident all of his life. A retired U.S. Steel employee with 18 years of service. A member of United Steel Workers Local #1066, American Legion Post #54, a member of the Hobart High School Graduating Class of 1963, past president of the Hobart Boosters Club, Statistician for the Hobart Brickies, former coach for the Hobart Little League with many years of service, former coach for the girls' soccer team, and was a member of the Portage Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors: wife, Linda; 2 children, Darren (Holly) Sandilla & Shana (Frank) Shepard; 4 grandchildren, Amber & Jeramey Sandilla, Shaylah & Garrett Shepard; mother, Elizabeth Sandilla, all of Hobart; 3 brothers, Anthony "Butch" (Diane) Sandilla of Chesterton, James (Sandi) Sandilla of Hobart & Joe (Delores) Sandilla of Hobart/Florida; 1 sister, Toby Sandilla of Crown Point. Preceded in death by father, Anthony "Ducky" Sandilla.

Funeral services Friday, February 16, 1996 at 10am from the Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Rev. Jerry L. Vernon officiating. Burial Graceland Cemetary. Visitation Thursday 2-5 & 7-9pm at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.

Linda K. Gowan (Reptik) (1964)

 Chuck has one more Grandchild that he never got to see.  A beautiful Granddaughter....Cheyanne Calen Sandilla, born in 1999.
