John C. Batusic, age 75, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. He was born on January 1, 1950 in Gary, Indiana, to Steve and Margaret (Clark) Batusic.

John is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; sons, Michael (Melissa) and Stephen (Jessica); sister, Bette (late, Bille) Efferson; brother, Bill (Debbie) Batusic; beloved grandchildren, Megan (Bryan), Lane, Alexis, AJ, Hannah, Adey, Matthew, Parker and Zane and great granddaughter, Nora. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and beloved cousin, Mary Ann. John was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Margaret Batusic.

John retired from Cleveland Cliffs in 2022. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Chicago sports fan. Above all John enjoyed his family, he loved to watch his sons and grandchildren at their sporting events. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, Indiana 46368. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am, July 22nd at McCool Cemetery, 2700 McCool Rd. in Portage.
