Chris Georgieff - Class Of 1968

OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE:

CHRIS GEORGIEFF, JR. Age 54, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Chris was a lifelong Hobart resident and a graduate of Indiana University Northwest with a degree in business and accounting. He was a brother with the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and a former revenue agent with the I.R.S. for 12 years. Chris practiced accounting for tax firms and also out of his home for 25 years. He was a member of the Hobart Chamber of
Commerce, Jaycees and an active member of the Southlake Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Marlene; son, Chris Georgieff III; many friends, cousins and other relatives and was preceded in death by his father, Chris T. Georgieff, Sr. and brother, Larry.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 28, 2005, 1:30 p.m. at Southlake Church of the Nazarene, 7355 E. 81st Avenue (Route 30) Merrillville, with Dr. Russell Hosey officiating. Burial will follow
at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. He will be taken to church at 12:30 p.m. for visitation until services at 1:30 p.m. Visitation is Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart Chapel.
