OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE:

MARK E. PENCE Lake Station, Indiana Age 56, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2006. Mark was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1968, was retired from LTV Steel and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett C. Pence, his brother, Martin F. Pence, and nephew, Samuel Kuenn. He is survived by his wife, Suzzette M. (nee Kelly) Pence of Lake Station; daugher, Nicole Pence of Valparaiso; grandson, Cody; mother, Marian A. Pence of Hobart; stepdaughters, Elizabeth Ellis of Berne, IN, Sarah Ellis of Ft. Wayne, IN; 2 step-grandchildren; brother, Joel (Vickie) Pence of Winamac, IN; sister, Judy (Kelly) Kuenn of FL; 1 nephew and 1 niece.

Funeral services will be held at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th Street, Hobart, IN on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 6:00 p.m., Gerald Riddle, officiating. Services will terminate at the funeral home with cremation at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory. Friends may visit with the family at Burns Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. (time of service). In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
