OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, JUNE 26, 2003:

DAVID DALE ENSIGN Age 45, of Hobart, was taken home suddenly on Tuesday, June 24, 2003. David was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1977. He was a recently retired carpenter with Carpenter's Union Local 599. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved camping and spending time with his family working on the farm. He was a member of F.O.E. of Hobart, the Southern Conservation Club, and the First United Methodist Church of Hobart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Maryann (nee Lewandowski) Ensign, and mother-in-law, June Galindo.

Survivors: wife, Eleanor (nee Galindo) Ensign of Hobart; sons, David Ensign of Arizona, John (Amber Alvarado) Ensign, Richard Galindo Ensign; stepson, Phillip Galindo; stepdaughters, Mary (Jeff Symbala) Galindo, Heather (Mike Reeder) Galindo; brothers, John (Shawn Jones) Ensign, Richard (Teresa) Ensign, all of Hobart.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home (Hobart), corner of Rt. 51 & 7th St. Rev. Larry Whitehead, officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Hobart. Friends may meet with the family at Burns Funeral Home (Hobart) on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
