Steven M. Kiraly Jr. passed away on Jan 22, 2026 at the age of 66 after an extended illness. Born May 7, 1959 in Gary, IN. Graduated from Hobart High School in 1977. He also earned an Associate's Degree in Machine Tool Technology.  He spent most of his career as a service writer for automobiles, a job he loved.  He married Cheryl Vasilko in 1987, and had 38 happy years together. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting 1:18 scale die cast cars, growing quite a collection. He also built 1/25 scale plastic models, mostly cars, but boats and planes also.  He absolutely loved everything about cars, especially police cars.  Spending time with his nephews, cuddling his 2 cats and playing mahjong were also his favorite things.  

He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Vasilko), father Steven Kiraly, brother Jim (Robin) Kiraly, niece Shannon (Wade) and their family Sophia and Audee, brother-in-law Steve (Gina) Vasilko, sister-in-law Tricia (Jay) Smigla, nephews Joshua Vasilko, Ethan Blevins and Jacob Blevins, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his mother Judith A Kiraly.
