Tami Pender-Rigg, 64, of Valparaiso, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Tami was born on November 14, 1958 to David and Karen Pender in Gary, Indiana. After Tami graduated from Hobart High School in 1977, she went on to study Fine Arts in college. For 40 years she helped special needs children as a Para Professional and Teacher.

Tami had her son Joshua in 1984 and her daughter Jessie in 1990. She married her husband Clint Rigg in 2012. Tami was a photographer and an artist, who loved to share her work with her friends. She often could be found at the beaches and marshes in northwest Indiana, enjoying nature and taking photos.

Tami is preceded in death by her father David Pender. She is survived by her husband Clint Rigg, her son Josh Hudson, her daughter Jessie (Hudson) Martin, her mother Karen Pender, her siblings Cindy Cummings, David (Mike) Pender, Matthew Pender, and Sara Pender-Morales. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews and nieces.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Valparaiso, Indiana on Friday April 28, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the CRPS Warriors Foundation. Tami lived for many years with CRPS and felt strongly about supporting their cause.
