Charlotte Elaine Berndt, age 80, of Hobart, passed away October 6, 2023. She was born to Norman and Lorraine Berndt. Charlotte attended Trinity Lutheran School and Hobart High School before graduating with a Biology degree at Valparaiso University. She worked for 39 years as a Medical Technician at Methodist Hospital North Lake in Gary, IN. Charlotte was an animal lover, liked playing card games and sang in the church choir. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sister-Carole (Dennis) Lewis; daughters-Amanda (Tyler) Vargas, Stephanie Berndt. Visitation for Charlotte will be Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 3- until 7:00 p.m., at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Funeral Service will be Friday, October 13, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Burns (Hobart), Pastor Nathan Kramer officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. www.burnsfuneral.com.
