OBITUARY FROM THE POST-TRIBUNE, JANUARY 20, 2010

Thomas J. Calhoun, Jr., age 66 of Wheeler passed away Monday, January 18, 2010. He was born on May 15, 1943 in Gary, Indiana. He was a longtime Wheeler resident and was retired from Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Thomas enjoyed archery, kayaking, Jeep four wheeling, and motorcycle riding. He enjoyed any and all things outdoors.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Tamara (Thomas) Kay of Valparaiso, IN; 2 brothers, John M. (Jackie) Calhoun of Spanaway, WA; Joseph P. (Theresa) Calhoun of Parkland, WA; 3 step-children, Deborah Chicos, Michelle Amos, Christopher Reed; grandchildren, Marty, Samantha, Theresa, Andrew, Julie, Allie, Emma, Thomas Jr, Taylor, Dakota, and Baylee. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Thomas J. Calhoun, III; and his parents, Thomas J. Calhoun, Sr. and Dorothy Cullum.

Funeral Services are Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Dan Eggold officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Hobart.
