OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, JANUARY 4, 2007:

KAREN COUNCIL SADELACK Oceanside, CA/formerly Minneapolis, MN/Hobart, IN Age 63, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2006. She was born on February 7, 1943, in Gary, IN, the daughter of Harvey and Vera (Rowe) Council. Karen graduated from Hobart High School and then was employed by Prudential Insurance for 22 years as a claims processor. Karen enjoyed cards and cribbage and served as the social coordinator for her apartment complex. Karen was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Karen is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Kelly Schulz, Oceanside, CA; son, Ed (Doreen) Sadelack, Jr., Ham Lake, MI, and son, Christopher Sadelack, Oceanside, CA; grandchildren: Buck, Bradley, and Zachary Schulz; and great grandchild, Buck Schulz III; and sister, Denise O'Neill, Maple Grove, MN; as well as other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, David and Myles.

Visitation for Karen Council-Sadelack will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
